Department Summary The Generation North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Compliance Assurance Manager will work within Energy Resources Business Services (ERBS) organization, and be part of a team responsible for managing and enhancing the Generation compliance program for NERC Reliability Standards (693) Standards for the Electric Generation department. The Generation NERC Compliance Assurance Manager will make decisions and recommendations that are recognized by a matrix support organization comprised of Plant Operations, Plant Managers, and Executives as authoritative and having impact on operational activities for the generation fleet. The Generation NERC Compliance Assurance Manager must be able to apply compliance methodologies in broad areas of assignments and related fields, and represent the department in meetings to resolve engineering, regulatory, budgeting, and scheduling issues. Additional responsibilities include - Coordinating a Generation wide NERC compliance team - Maintaining an environment of continuous improvement in the NERC Standards compliance program - Facilitating methodologies to maintain compliance and reliability - Monitor effectiveness and implementation of mitigation measures. Job Description/Responsibilities This position requires effective management of the Generation North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) compliance program to avoid non-compliance penalties. Job responsibilities include providing management support for NERC compliance for the generation fleet as detailed below. - Act as subject matter expert during on-site NERC audits - Review and comment on NERC Standards for applicability and evaluation of impact to the generation fleet - Develop implementation schedules, budgets, and program documents required for mandatory compliance - Ensure completion of required compliance testing of the generation fleet in accordance with requirements - Report compliance activities to the regulatory authority by developing and retaining compliance evidence documentation, reviewing and compiling compliance evidence from the generation fleet, obtaining executive approval, and submitting attestations or other required documentation to the regulatory authority - Perform assessments of the generation facilities for compliance with established requirements - Resolve day to day NERC compliance questions and issues - Other duties as assigned Requirements/Qualifications Experience/Education/Training/Other - Bachelor''s degree in applicable field.
