Job Details: Under the general direction of the Director, Surgical Services and direct supervision of the Supervisor Sterile Processing, and within established policies and procedures, the incumbent performs the following functions:
Essential Functions:
Decontaminates, prepares and sterilizes equipment and supplies in accordance with established Catholic Medical Center and infection control policies and procedures. Operates and has a thorough working knowledge of steam and gas sterilizers, aeration chamber, washer decontaminators, cart washer and Sterrad. Assembles hospital wide instrument trays and labels appropriately. Assembles and fills surgical case cart requisitions. Responds to telephone requests and records in an appropriate manner. Performs required record keeping including, but not limited to, steam, gas and Sterrad sterilization records and biological monitoring records.
Qualifications:
Education: oHigh School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: oNone
Certification: oNoneEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
