HVAC Service Tech (POUGHKEEPSIE) We are seeking a FULL TIME Commercial HVACR Service Tech for immediate work in the POUGHKEEPSIE, NY area. At least 7 years Commercial/Industrial HVACR service experience required. EPA/R410a certification a plus. OSHA 10 certification helpful or will be provided. Must have a CLEAN driver''s license, be able to pass a background check and a drug test. We are looking for self-motivated, results-oriented candidates, with excellent customer communication and organizational skills. Pay will be based on prior experience. We also provide Medical, Dental, Vision,and Rx Coverage along with 401(k) pre-tax benefits. A service truck, company phone and expense card will be provided. OT will be available at times. Job Description - _HVAC Technician Journeyman_
As a HVAC Technician you will be responsible for assembling, installing, servicing, and repairing air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating units used in homes, schools, commercial and industrial buildings.
Additional
Responsibilities:
Studying building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations
Diagnosing causes of equipment breakdowns, testing parts with appropriate instruments, disassembling and assembling parts, and making necessary repairs
Locating and marking position of pipe and/or duct connections and passage holes for same in walls and floors and then cutting openings to accommodate pipe and/or duct fittings, using hand tools and power tools
Cutting and threading pipe, using pipe cutters, cutting torch, and pipe-threading machine
Connecting motors to control panels and balancing motors to insure efficient operation and connecting control panels to power source
