The eStore Merchandising Specialist is responsible for helping to gather, organize and manage product-related data and assets for Murdoch's online store. This eMerchanding role requires daily collaboration with all levels of eCommerce stakeholders including Marketing, Purchasing, IT, eCommerce Team, product vendors and service providers.
_Key Areas of Responsibility:_
Responsible for gathering, organizing and managing product-related data, site content, large data sets and digital assets as part of the eMerchandising group
Work directly with eStore Manager, Director of Marketing, IT, Purchasing Managers and Buyers to populate and organize product-related data and digital assets for Murdoch's online store
Based on established product purchasing strategies, work with the buyers, Marketing, IT, and vendors to gather, organize and upload ALL necessary data, information and product-related assets (product specs, descriptions, photos, video, guides, pricing, etc.) to populate eCommerce items and categories
Drives website strategy by assisting the Buying, Marketing and eMerchandising teams in the development of the product assortment, key item positioning, and promotional plans to maximize customer conversion
Ensure that product data, attributes, descriptions, images and videos are current and accurate
Proofread and edit various aspects of site content to ensure a positive shopping experience
The eStore Merchandising group is responsible for online sales, merchandising of online store experience, product/data asset management, and overall merchandising objectives to achieve quarterly plans for development, launch and management of eCommerce site
Will incorporate Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices while merchandising the eCommerce site.
Maintain timeliness - ensuring that all merchandising, marketing and promotion deadlines are met while maintaining excellence in delivery.
Learn and contribute to the eMerchandising process and workflow to gather, enrich and manage product-related data and digital assets using a PIM (Product Information Management) system
Responsible for eMerchandising of online store
Responsible for collaborating with and supporting Murdoch''s product buyers to establish product strategies and then gather necessary product/vendor information, populate items and merchandise the eCommerce site
Responsible, in-part, for the achievement of sales, online customer experience and inventory turn objectives for all merchandise categories.
Responsible for site optimization, space management and presentation on web store of products and categories to improve the online customer experience

Solid organizational and planning skills: Extremely detail oriented to manage customer and vendor requirements, product understanding and ongoing product and account management

Action-oriented and flexible: Must demonstrate a capacity to operate successfully in a fast paced, changing, deadline-driven environment to make fact based decisions and implement recommendations quickly to drive for continuous improvement
Product Management
Experience: Understanding of web-based products and technology services
Ability to work independently as well as with cross-functional teams to accomplish goals and objectives
B.S. in Accounting, Marketing, Advertising, Statistics, Communications, Management or related field of study
Prior eCommerce and eMerchandising experience preferred
Expert use and application of Microsoft Excel for manipulating and managing large data sets
Advanced use of a PIM (Product Information Management) System is preferred. Experience with Heiler PIM a definite plus.
Advanced use of Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Proficiency with web platforms, web content management systems, item data base, purchase order management, digital asset management, data warehouse management and marketing workflow systems
