Senior Systems Software Engineer

Reporting to the Director of Systems, the Senior Systems Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, documenting, and testing computer software in support of moderate to high risk and complexity products in an agile SCRUM development environment. The SSSE will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior Software Engineers and advocating projects and company practices.
Responsibilities
Maintaining existing system software product and its architecture
Designing and coding of new software product
Developing and implementing test plans, test automation scripts, and unit tests; ensuring functional coverage and quality application performance
Performing code analysis and performance profiling
Implementing best practices as defined by departmental and industry standards
Rapidly prototyping solutions to demonstrate to team
Maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers
Participating on demand with field service teams when real-time, immediate, engineering solution is required
Delivering reliable, secure, and efficient software with designs that are extensible and reusable
Designing, documenting, and maintaining product architecture congruent with technology and market trends
Skills/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar
7 years of work experience in transactional systems development
Knowledge in Microsoft C+
and C#
Experience in SQL and working understanding RDBMS
Gaming Industry Experience preferred
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in coding and systems design and a desire to tackle the complex problems
Understanding of Risk Assessment as it pertains to software functionality
Agile methodology experience or passion is a must
