Reporting to the Director of Advanced Gaming Operations, the Senior System Engineer will be responsible for the research and development of hardware and software install solutions, load testing, load balancing, creative new monitoring solutions and automation.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
The duties of this role include but are not limited to the following:
Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and script writing for Windows 2003 & 2008 servers.
Write and design scripts for Linux and Windows Automation tasks.
Write/Configure custom monitoring with SQL, WMI and SNMP
Review project tasks and turn around dates.
Write detailed server and network documentation.
Determine hardware requirements and load requirements for multiple production scenarios.
Available nights and weekends as needed for on call shifts/upgrades/implementations/new deployments.
Travel up to possibly 5% annually.
Able to adapt fast in new situations and formulate a quick resolution.
Must be a Team Player.
Capable of Sharing Knowledge with staff and customers.
Skills / Requirements:
B.S degree in Computer or equivalent work experience is required
Must work well in a team environment and on individual tasks with minimum supervision
Windows 2003 & 2008 Server
Linux install, administration and scripting knowledge
MS SQL 2000/2005/2008 Administration and tuning.
Microsoft Deployment Toolkit or SMS
Scripting/programing with one of the following: PowerShell, Python, Bash Shell
Administration in a 100
server environment.
Proficient with Active Directory and Domain Policies.
Extensive experience building, load testing and maintaining server grade hardware.
Detailed documentation writing skills.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Network Protocol Analysis and the network communication stack
MCSE or 5
years' experience with MS Servers.
CCNA a plus
CISSP a plusEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
