Project Manager (Acoustical Ceilings, Staircases & Balconies)

Plan, budget, direct, coordinate & oversee construction projects including the design, fabrication and installation of acoustical ceilings and wrought iron, aluminum and stainless steel staircases and balconies.
Interpret blueprints and use AutoCAD software to create project designs and shop drawings demonstrating design and structural integrity.
Mathematically calculate layout of balconies, spiral staircases and grand staircases and provide AutoCAD designs and drawings to architects and mechanical engineers for design approval.
Provide AutoCAD drawings to shop fabrication personnel, oversee shop fabrication process and subsequent installation ensuring quality control.
Oversee shop fabrication of conventional and specialized staircases, railing and general architectural assemblies.
Oversee all operational and technical aspects of MIG and TIG welding.
Calculate labor and material requirements from architectural plans and job sites and provide pricing proposals for acoustical ceiling and metal fabrication projects.
Oversee installation of acoustical ceilings, metal linear ceilings and sound panels in schools, hospitals, retail and office project sites.
Ensure materials are obtained from specialist supply companies at best possible price.
Assess acoustical values of acoustical ceiling tile and wall panels and oversee field mechanics to ensure quality control of projects.
Provide various design options and pricing proposals to clients.
Negotiate contracts with general contractors, construction managers and owners.
Provide financial and operational reports of current and forthcoming projects
Liaise with clients, installers, manufacturers & suppliers to resolve disputes concerning work procedures, complaints, design & layout issues and installation problems.
Design and implement timeline & procedure manuals for individual projects to ensure timely completion within specified budget.
Calculate staff requirements for each project. Select suitable employees and allocate accordingly.
Ensure workforce and clientele are in full & complete understanding of scope & terms of contracts.
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
