Sound Designer/Composer Manager

Reporting to the Art Director, the Sound Design Manager will supervise all aspects of audio development, and play a key role in identifying audio asset needs and creating audio assets, including sound effects and music.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
The duties of this role include but are not limited to the following
Oversee the creation and implementation of all game audio assets, by using proprietary tools and/or working directly with sound designers, artists, animators and developers.
Ensure audio assets are created with the proper style and aesthetic tone appropriate for each project/game.
Give creative feedback and suggestions for improving the overall audio quality of every game.
Maintain audio hardware and software.
Maintaining and adhering to set schedules.
Communicate directly with the art director and senior game designers.
Finding and managing outside contractors to supplement audio/music assets, as needed.
Stay current on trends and technologies in the casino game and audio industries.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
A Minimum of 5 years of experience composing music for games is
required
A background in music and/or in-depth understanding of music theory
Extensive knowledge of a wide range of musical genres and integrating those into a wide variety of graphic themes.
Experience managing a team: giving creative direction and constructive feedback.
Proven ability to compose compelling, theme-appropriate music for a wide variety of game themes.
Proven ability to design unique, high-quality sound effects for a fun, immersive gaming experience.
Proficiency in Pro Tools 10 HD, or equivalent industry standard DAW's
Experience using sample based virtual instruments such as EastWest, Kontakt and Vienna.
Experience maintaining a large library of digital files.
Experience working with gaming sound systems.
Have an easy-going and fun yet professional attitude.
Will be able to thrive in a team environment.
Must be able to identify, analyze problems and situations and be able to provide recommendations and feedback.
Must be organized and extremely detail-oriented.
Ability to receive and learn from constructive criticism.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
