Farmington Square Medford is currently recruiting for fulltime and part time caregivers.
The Caregiver is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living. He/She provides direct hands on care in accordance with the resident''s service plan and according to company policies and procedure and as may be directed.
The ideal Caregiver is a high school graduate or equivalent. One year previous assisted living/nursing experience with direct resident care is preferred but not required. He/She must have reliable transportation. The applicant must be genuinely concerned about helping people and have high moral standards of honesty and integrity.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Provide general attention to residents needs in accordance with an established Service Plan
-- Provide companionship for the resident including, but not limited to: talking and listening, reading aloud, providing social and emotional support
-- Promote the resident's mental alertness through involvement in activities of interest
-- Provide emotional support and promote a sense of well-being
-- Provide for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents and family members
-- Provide light housekeeping tasks including laundering of resident's garments and linens
-- May prepare and serve meals as directed. Ensure that dishes are washed and kitchen is clean after each meal
-- Ensures the overall health and safety of the residents
-- Observe and report any changes in the resident's mental, physical, or emotional condition to immediate supervisor in a timely manner
-- Establish and maintain effective communication and a professional relationship with residents, family members, and co-workers
-- Participate in in-service and continuing education programs, staff meetings, and resident conferences as requested by immediate supervisor
-- Complete required documentation of services delivered and submits to office in a timely manner according to policy
-- Use equipment and supplies safely and properly
-- Assist residents with ambulation/transfers as specified in the Service Plan
-- Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information
-- Other reasonable related duties as assignedEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
