Summary:
The Graphic Designer develops and designs all print marketing materials.
Essential Job Functions:
Design print marketing pieces, including catalogs, direct mail pieces, signage, advertising and other print marketing collateral
Design collateral that excites our customers about SmartPak products, leading to the ability to work on higher visibility projects.
Transform abstract concepts into visually compelling designs
Work collaboratively with internal/external teams, clients and vendors regarding project deliverables and details
Meet with Production Manager, Project Manager and other Designers to help define and determine project parameters
Present work during creative reviews, explaining rationale, process and methodologies of the design
Elevate the overall creative output of the company and the team with an intuitive, mature approach to understanding and deploying results-driven design and communication
Assist with photo shoots

Responsibilities:
Adhere to brand guidelines
Participate in educational opportunities to increase design capabilities and maintain up-to-date design technology
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design or related field

years working as a print designer in an agency or corporate environment; catalog and photo shoot experience are preferred
Critical, conceptual thinker with excellent attention to detail
Good time- and project-management skills with the ability to self-manage and work as part of a team within a dynamic environment
Strong skills in InDesign and Photoshop on a Mac platform, plus working knowledge of Illustrator and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
Receptive and open to feedback and input on all design work
Strong understanding of business
Knowledge of emerging design trends
Horse experience preferred but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Sense of humor

Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
Mac platform
Microsoft Office SuiteEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
