Job Details:
Collaborates with the health care team using evidence based practice, demonstrating accountability, respect for patients, families and coworkers, while providing safe and optimal patient continuity of care by communicating effectively with interdisciplinary team and family as appropriate. Directs the work of the support staff in the provision of care.Performs general nursing duties using critical thinking skills with minimal supervision.Able to work with the age specific populations according to the setting.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
vGraduate of an accredited RN program, BSN preferred.
vCurrent Registration and Licensure in the State ofIowaas an RN.Must be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
vContinuing education as required to maintain licensure.
vCompletion of Basic Life Support and Dependent Adult Abuse.
vNursing experience in ED preferred.
vAbility to read and communicate effectively in English.
vHigh degree of empathetic listening skills, tact and kindness toward others.
vEffective verbal and nonverbal communication skills required.
vMust work effectively as a member of a team.
vBasic computer knowledge.
vTechnical and critical thinking skills in relation to sound nursing judgment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
