Quantum Tech Staffing is looking for a Network Engineer for a contract position with one of our clients in Petersburg, Virginia.
The Unified Communications Engineer is responsible for providing a high level of technical and network/VoIP management expertise to ensure the application of communications technology aids in the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. In this position, the incumbent evaluates all voice technology and carrier services. This person is an integral player in the design, development and implementation of domestic systems with significant exposure to users; interfaces regularly with management and outside vendors. This position also has a thorough understanding of the desktop and LAN/WAN infrastructure and how this integrates with the voice systems to support business needs. The incumbent has strong project management skills, a proven track record of working in a team environment, and is comfortable managing projects through all life-cycle phases in accordance with established direction and standards. This position also serves as secondary support for the data network. This position will report directly to the Network Manager.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Telecommunications, related field, or equivalent work experience.
Broad range of telecommunications, network, server and desktop knowledge is desired, including the following: Carrier Services including Toll Free
Five to seven years of experience in unified communications, network infrastructure, or related field.
Experience managing network/VoIP projects on a small scale
Preferred Skills:
ITIL, CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, or CCIE Voice CertificationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
