Gain business process and business system knowledge to allow for effective participation in all phases of system development projects including initial proposals, project approach and high level requirements gathering and high level solution design.
Drive high level approach and requirements phase of projects and insure comprehensive understanding of business issues and relative benefits of potential solutions.
Responsible for planning and scheduling project goals, milestones and deliverables. Determine approach and deliverable requirements for definition phase of complex projects. Create project plans and establish key milestones. Drive efforts to prepare documentation in support of capital funding requests.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Collaborate with system and application architects to establish a right sized solution that solves the business problem and is consistent with out current and long-term systems architecture.
Promote solutions and insure understanding of complex IS initiatives with business leaders.
Plan and coordinate discussions with 3rd party providers of services including completion of Request for Proposal documentation if required.
Plan, coordinate, and communicate business systems projects with user management and the user community; work cohesively with the user community to understand, recommend, and implement business process changes related to technology utilization.
Assist in the development of an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques. Drive toward standardized business system analysis methodology to be used company-wide to plan and execute projects to achieve business objectives.
Visualize and create high-level models that can be used to assess not just the one-off problem but also serve as a foundation for future analysis on other initiatives. Expand or contract underlying models of the business to accommodate new scenarios and priorities as they arise.
Manage all aspects of business systems analysis including project definition, requirement gathering, traceability, analysis, screen mock-ups, and business process definition. Analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements Use Cases, User interface screen mock-ups, Interface data definition
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis and workflow analysis.
Anticipate project risks and identify mitigation opportunities.
Coach and mentor Business Analyst/Architect team members.
Support the standard methodology, process, procedures, best practices and change management process.
Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned
## Job Requirements
Education :
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent experience.
Experience :
Minimum of twelve to fifteen years experience in a combination of technical and/or business analysis or business process analysis roles
Proven experience in developing and driving the definition, planning and deployment of a variety of both business and IT initiatives
Demonstrated capability to contribute to all phases of an IS initiative
Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business and/or business systems
Work direction of team members performing detailed business analysis functions and demonstrated proficiency to step into a leadership or management role
Proven ability to utilized various business analysis / business process analysis skills and tools including:
Project plans and key milestones
Business scenario / Use case documentation
Screen mock-up and / or wiring diagrams
Process and workflow modeling
Requirements definition and prioritization
Business process design, reengineering and requirements analysis
Business rule definition and facilitation
Business data definition
Project risk analysis
Deployment and implementation planning
