Our Centers of Excellence include Behavioral Medicine Services, Cancer Care, Cardiology Services, Emergency Center, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services, Surgical Services and Women''s Health Services and our state-of-the-art Webber Cancer Center.
Department Description
INTENSIVE CARE/ STEPDOWN
This value based State of the Art unit includes:
v 17 beds in ICU designed to care for patients in a critcal care state and need Drips: Vasopressors, Antiarrythmics myocardial infarction, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, vascular surgery, post CABG, neuro and general surgery patients.
v 8 beds in Step-down unit handles myocardial infarction, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, vascular surgery, post CABG, neuro and general surgery patients.
v 4 Open Heart Beds
Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides individualized patient care by assessing the patient, identifying patient problems or potential problems, developing and implementing a nursing plan of care and evaluating care of assigned patients. May give direction to ancillary nursing staff.
Required
Current Michigan Licensure
Current BLS certificate
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Acceptable level of performance and completion of an individualized orientation by the Department of Nursing Education.
