Position Description
Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for supervising the Billing functions (includes auto-mated and manual invoicing, manifests, Product Order Entry and root cause analysis) and team for the domestic Medical and Specialty Waste business.
oEffectively supervises the billing of over 400,000 customers generating in excess of $1 billion in revenue. Ensures consistent processing of all billing runs to drive timely reporting of domestic financial results and have a positive impact on Stericycle's DSO.
oSupervises a team of employees including salaried and hourly team members.
oResponsibilities include hiring, training and developing team to deliver effective customer service and results at all levels of the organization; grows and mentors team development to support a growing and changing business.
oMonitors and reviews Billing productivity/processes and takes corrective action, when necessary. Reviews weekly measurements.
Implement process improvements to increase productivity and accuracy.
oReview/approve accounting entries and reconciliations.
oApprove credit memos in compliance with SRCL credit memo approval process. Work with team/internal customers to resolve any discrepancies Performs other related duties as needed.
oPerforms other related duties as needed.
Position Requirements
Education equivalent to BA, BS Degree in Business or the equivalent work related experience.
Four or more years of business experience required, preferably in a billing department, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of billing procedures and various automated accounting systems. Previous supervisory experience a plus.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products.
