Program Engineer

Carry out implementation of projects, staying within the stipulated budget. Will act as a member of the project team making sure that time, risks, costs, quality and project resources are utilized efficiently. Will also attend both internal meetings and customer meetings and make sure that implementation of services is geared towards customer satisfaction. Will also follow the standard operating procedures, metrics used to track the progress of project developments, as well as labor standards.
Duties include the following:
Follow the sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
Stay within budgeted production costs by utilizing cost saving methods, and understanding the effects of product design changes on expenditures.
Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency using drafting tools and computer.
Implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.
Communicate with management and user personnel to carry out production and design standards.
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and utilities.
Follow manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems in order to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
Confer with clients, vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities, or project status.
Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
Minimum Requirements
MS Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering or Equiv Foreign Degree;
2yrs Experience as Industrial Engineer or related position handling capacity modeling, facility planning, designing of work stations, preparing production reports;
Special Requirements
Strong skills implementing lean tools such as 5S, Tool Speed Modeling, Line Balance; Dispatching to reduce cycle time & improve production; DMAIC and 8D methodologies; AUTOCAD; VB script for writing MACROS, ERP Tools such as SAP or similar, statistical tools such as SAS for data analysis;
Terms Full Time, 40 Hrs / week
