The company designs, manufactures, sells and services a variety of display products in three primary markets: sports, commercial, and transportation. As part of the software development team(s), you will help develop the tools and technologies that allow our customers to maximize their display investment by creating the desired impact with their audience.
1. Develop software applications, utilizing C++, C#, WPF, Silverlight, WCF, HTML 5 and related technologies.
2. Employ software engineering practices to collect requirements, write functional and design specifications and plan implementation.
3. Maintain existing software products as required.
4. Assist in the development of technical manuals, test procedures and trainings as required.
5. Assist internal customers as needed to answer questions and resolve customer issues.
6. Work effectively as a team member with minimal supervision while making suggestions for improvements and communicating effectively with other members of the team.
7. Develop overall knowledge of Daktronics Engineering capabilities, practices and philosophies.
8. Complete quality work in a timely manner.
9. Regularly and reliably work scheduled hours.
10. Perform other duties as assigned or needed to support the efforts of Daktronics.
Requirements
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Computer/Software Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution is required.
2. Strong experience in C+
and C# programming is required.
3. Strong experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft .Net is required.
4. Experience with Direct X or Open GL would be beneficial
5. Experience with networking and communication protocols is preferred.
6. Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Team System, including Team Foundation Server, is preferred.
7. Must be self-motivated effectively exercise discretion and independent judgement.
8. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills and be well organized.

10. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
11. Background check may be conducted.
