Job Details:
Security Officers are responsible for the safety and security of all hospital employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital property and equipment. A valid state certification for Security Officer, valid state vehicle operator license, and insurability by the hospital insurance carrier are requirements that must be maintained. Security officers must be alert to surroundings and assess situations that could escalate or cause harm or security hazards as well as respond appropriately and professionally to all safety/security calls and encounters.
High School Diploma required. Experience in a law enforcement or security type position is preferred.
State Security Officer Certification as well as valid motor vehicle operator''s license. Must be insurable by hospital liability insurance carrier.
BLSis required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
