The Robley Rex VA Medical Center (VAMC), located in Louisville, KY, was opened in 1952. This facility is responsible for providing specialized hospital-based care and outpatient care to Veterans residing in 35 counties in central and western Kentucky and in southern Indiana. The Robley Rex VAMC operates eight Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) and supports a Veteran outreach center. The medical center is a part of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 9, which includes facilities in Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
The Robley Rex VAMC is a tertiary care facility classified as a Clinical Referral Level 1c Facility. It is a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, with state-of-the-art technology, as well as education and research. The Robley Rex VAMC offers a full spectrum of comprehensive health care benefits to the more than 150,000 Veterans residing in its service area. The medical center also participates in a sharing agreement with the Department of Defense.
Renovations and additions to the facility include; expanded state of the art Emergency Department; expansion of Hospice Unit; new Medical Procedures Unit; two new MRIs; complete renovation and state of art Surgical Intensive Care Unit; renovation of Hematology/Oncology Unit to include a Chemo Satellite Pharmacy; and renovation of Physical Therapy unit. The newly constructed OEF/OIF/OND Clinic and 16 bed Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program will be completed in Fall 2013.
The Robley Rex VAMC has been approved for a new replacement facility and design is underway
VA structures its SES positions into pay bands. This is a Pay Band 2 position. The salary range for this position is $120,749 - $175,400. Exceptions to the salary cap may be authorized.
Permanent Change of Station costs, a recruitment/relocation incentive, and/or Appraised Value Offer (formerly Guaranteed Home Buyout) may be authorized.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
