Teva''s Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient plant in Mexico, Missouri, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Department Supervisor.
The Maintenance Dept. Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of the department in maintaining and repairing company facilities to meet corporate objectives as well as federal, state, and local laws.
Incumbent must not be allergic to penicillin .
1. Supervises and coordinates the maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and other company physical plant and production machinery, equipment and systems to provide safe and uninterrupted service to meet corporate goals and needs.
2. Plans, organizes, prioritizes work to be done. Implements work schedules and assignments.
3. communicates and solicits input daily from all departments as to quality of work performed. recognizes potential problems, observes deficiencies (both mechanically and aesthetically) and takes necessary corrective actions without formal request. Stays current on outstanding work orders or requests and keeps pertinent parties informed of delays, etc.
4. Conducts appropriate training for maintenance personnel to upgrade and improve skills. Appraise employee performance; rewarding and discipling employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Ensures full utilization of each employee.
5. Solves complex regulatory, mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues/questions.
6. Recommends capital improvements for al mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment as well as alterations of existing facilities or construction of new plant facilities.
7. assists in developing, scheduling and controlling a preventive maintenance program to maintain production and other plant and machinery and equipment in safe and proper working condition.
8. Ensures safety rules are understood, followed, and enforced to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. conducts safety training meetings.
9. Maintain good morale and positive attitude on all shifts.
10. Develop, revise or recommend changes to Standard Operational Procedures and work practices. observe employees to ensure compliance with standards.
11. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations and laws, company policies and procedures, and current Good Manufacturing Proacticies.
12. Full knowledge of all requirements for directing repairs and improvements to processes and facility. Full knowledge of duties performed by employees supervised.
13. Follows Teva Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
14. Other duties, as assigned, or as business needs require.

Education Required: High School or G.E.D.
Education Preferred: Associate''s or Bachelor''s Degree
Three or more years of maintenance related experience. Supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient with personal computer
