Description:
The
Quality Control Team Member
reports to the Team Lead or Project Manager. Team Members are responsible for visual inspection and rework of non-conforming parts to the operations standard set forth by Bluegrass Supply Chain Services and the customer. The team member is also responsible for evaluating part characteristics using gauges, color keys, etc, and containing non-conforming parts, as well as collection of accurate data and the reporting of sorting activities.
Qualifications:
Ability to function in a fast paced environment, while meeting the safety standards of the company and quality expectations of the customer.
Requires the ability to multi-task, and pay close attention to detail.
Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft outlook, word, excel, and other programs used in the warehouse.
Ability to do basic math - addition, subtraction, and division
Two to three years previous experience in the automotive manufacturing environment.
Be a quick learner and be able to adapt to change.
Minimum high school diploma or GED.
Possess problem solving skills and reasoning.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external functional team in order to resolve quality concerns
Ability to read caliper, height gauges, gauges blocks, and related measurement tools
Must be familiar with ISO procedures and standards
Adhere to 5-S properly, i.e., a place for everything and everything in its place
Must have visual acuity
Lifting of a maximum of 50 pounds. 30 pounds repetitively
At least two years past experience driving forklift in a manufacturing setting and the ability to achieve forklift certification
Work Schedule:
Team Member must be flexible and may be required to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. 12 hour shifts. Quality Sorting/Rework team members are available with 2 hour notice and called in to meet the needs of Bluegrass and the customer.
