Randstad Corporate Services in partnership with a Leading Institution in Higher Education is seeking a permanent Peoplesoft Application Developer for the transformative implementation of Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions as the University's enterprise platform for improving the experience of students, faculty, and administrators throughout the academic lifecycle.
This will be a key member of an innovative technology development team responsible for the technical analysis, development, and ongoing support of the Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions project. This person defines designs and implements new Peoplesoft Campus Solutions functionality.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- In an Agile environment, determining requirements, defining the technical design, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting new and enhanced software modules, core architectural components and databases
- Troubleshooting technical issues.
- Providing 24/7 on-call production support.
Current technical experience to include:
- PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Required, versions 9

- Good working knowledge of the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture, PeopleTools 8.51+, Peoplesoft Portal 9.1; Weblogic and Tuxedo
- 3-5 years of programming experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Business Interlinks, Webservices, XML Publisher and SQR.
- 3-5 years experience SQL on any database (ORACLE, MSSQL)
Development platforms:
- Windows, Unix, Linux and VMWare
Working hours: 9A-5P
Basic
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following experience and skills:
- BS/BA in related field (e.g., computer science, engineering, information systems) or equivalent experience.
- Must have strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work closely with business owners to clarify project scope and specifications, including providing and evaluating alternative options where appropriate.
- Must be flexible and able to work independently or in a team environment
- Ability to independently translate business requirements analysis into technical design specifications and development.
- Experience with full software lifecycle (requirements, analysis, design, construction and testing)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Independent and self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to prioritize, take initiative and work well under pressure

- The demonstrated ability to learn new technologies is highly desirable.
- The aptitude and desire to be a hands on contributor is essential.
- Must have strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Desired experience includes web applications development methodologies, project management, object oriented programming, HTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, Subversion, , testing tools (i.e.Load Runner), and query tools.
- Knowledge of Internet protocols and standards, Internet software development standards, and web server configuration management.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
