Brady Corporation, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of safety products, has chosen Louisville for a brand new plant that will make an environmentally safe line of absorbent materials and spill-contained products.
A facility to house the plant is being constructed at Louisville Industrial Center on National Turnpike. Brady Corporation is building an 11 million, 230,000 square facility which is scheduled to be ready for Brady Corp. by March 1, 2014 and will employ 121 employees.
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Helper in the Southern Louisville area. This is a permanent placement position that will pay $28,288 to $40,393 annually, based on experience. Qualified candidates will be responsible for performing routine maintenance duties including all rough carpentry, painting, and basic equipment and facility repairs. May perform electrical work and simple plumbing repairs under qualified supervision. Will also perform unskilled machine maintenance work, and assist mechanic in performing work such as moving equipment, tools, and materials.
Additional core duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Fabricates parts or items under direction of maintenance mechanic
- Maintains tools or equipment in working order
- Helps mechanic with dismantling and overhauling or assembling equipment
- Cleans and washes equipment or machinery
- Will perform other duties as assigned
Working hours: Monday - Friday
Qualifications and requirements include:
- Experience in mechanical, maintenance, electrical, and painting
- Must be familiar with operation and safe use of basic hand tools
including drills and saws
- GED or HS Diploma, however 2 year technical degree is preferable
- Valid Driver's License
