Brady Corporation, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer of safety products, has chosen Louisville for a brand new plant that will make an environmentally safe line of absorbent materials and spill-contained products.
A facility to house the plant is being constructed at Louisville Industrial Center on National Turnpike. Brady Corporation is building an 11 million, 230,000 square facility which is scheduled to be ready for Brady Corp. by March 1, 2014 and will employ 121 employees.
We are currently recruiting for a Planner-Scheduler for our Southern Louisville location. This is a permanent placement position that will pay between $35,000 - $50,000 annually, based on experience.
Qualified candidates will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching stock orders, stock production and custom orders in accordance with customer orders and stock make-to-order using the SAP system.
Also will be responsible for set up and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to ensure a high level
Of customer service and meet established inventory goals. This individual will also coordinate the flow of work orders through the manufacturing departments and expedite them as needed to meet scheduled ship dates. Additional core duties will include, but not limited to:
- Schedules stock and custom orders for production in order to ensure the best possible deliver date
Based on lead time, material availability, and capacity
- Schedules and dispatches stock replenishment orders to maintain predetermined safety stock levels
- Ensures production work orders are routed to departments based on production schedules
- Expedites production orders and maintains follow-up procedures, as requested
- Accurately enters all production and work order information into SAP system
Working hours: Monday - Friday
Qualifications and requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field
- Must have manufacturing background and experience
- A solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles, especially Kan Ban, is required
- SAP experience is required
- Must have a thorough understanding of forecasting, MRP, Sales, and Operations
- Must have previous experience in production planning
- A high level of problem-solving and communication skills
Desired Characteristics include:
- 2 years' experience in inventory control
- APICS certification

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
