Information Systems Project Manager

Randstad Corporate Services in Partnership with a Global Leader in Higher Education is seeking a skilled Information Systems Project Manager interested in long term contract work in Harvard Square.
The Project Manager contractor will lead a vendor pilot (and potentially implementation) for a Faculty Promotions & Tenure application and manage a vendor relationship for the Faculty Hiring application. Candidates should have at least with 7 years of professional Project Management skills. Candidates should also have experience with large scale project / implementations.
Responsibilities will include:
Work with the Office of the President and Provost, Practice Manager and the Director, Project Services to maintain a prioritized IT project plan that is consistent with University priorities, technical architecture standards and security policies.
- Assure timeliness and quality for all work delivered to business partners
- Produce internal and end-user documentation
- Coordinate education, training and outreach for applications in the portfolio
- Provide end user support
- Manage relationship and requirements for vendors

1. Coordinating day-to-day project activity with the project teams and key project stakeholders, scheduling and facilitating meetings
2. Producing and managing various key project documents / deliverables
3. Updating the detailed project plan, Gantt charts, Agile burn-down charts, issue and defect reports, etc.
4. Creating visibility of project activity / progress through the production of regular project reports and blogs
5. Collecting content from project team members into slide presentations for stakeholders
6. Documenting meetings and decisions in the project knowledge base
Working hours: 9A-5P

Desired Skills and Experience

--Knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Visio. MS Project required.
--Confluence and/or JIRA experience a plus.
--Exposure to Agile development processes preferred.
--Flexible communication styles and compelling writing skills.
--Persistent attention to detail and extremely organized in thought and process to achieve completion.
--Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques strongly preferred.
