Temporary and temporary to permanent opportunities with Southaven area food manufacturer. All positions will be in production or packaging areas and require standing for the entire shift, the ability to lift up to 50lbs., and to work any shift, up to 12 hours. Must comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping procedures at all times. Most work areas have heavy concentrations of ingredients that present strong odors as well as interaction with ingredients associated with food allergies.
On call positions - for some departments the schedule will depend on production needs. When working these positions, there is no guaranteed amount of hours each week. If offered a position, you will be informed of the length of the assignment.
Responsibilities may include one or more of the following:
- Placing products on production lines and ensuring they flow properly
- Visual inspection of products for proper labeling
- Sealing boxes using tape machine
- Stacking products at the end of production lines
- Filling bags of various sizes with product
- Dumping measured ingredients into mixers
Working hours: To be determined
Qualifications:
--At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
--2 positive work references
--Must pass drug screen and criminal background check
--Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
