- Consult with patients visiting the Acupuncture Clinic about their health or injuries and keep accurate records.
- Examine patients and diagnose health problems using the principles of Traditional Oriental Medicine, tongue observation and by checking the pulse.
- Discuss treatment options with patients.
- Locate the acupuncture points on the body and select, insert and remove the needles.
- May use and prescribe herbal medicines to treat clients.
- May give dietary advice, tuina (massage), moxibustion (heat), cupping (suction), and exercise therapy.
- May refer clients to other health services when necessary.
- Report directly to the Clinics Senior Acupuncturist.
Master of Oriental Medicine with California Acupuncture License needed.
