IT company looking for a Network Engineer who will support customer's servers, workstations, networks, printers, etc.
Oversees all IT aspects of, and provides IT support for a diverse group of businesses and applications under one corporation. Primary office and datacenter is in Springfield but many businesses within the corporation are in surrounding areas. Installs new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and data recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
Education and Training
Minimum of 6 years' experience in IT, 4 years as a Systems Administrator
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related field or equivalent experience and combined education.
MCSE, MCSA or equivalent certification
Required Skills
Expert at installation of Windows 2008/f2012 on various server hardware
Thorough knowledge of Active Directory and DNS/DHCP -- Windows 2008/2012
Thorough knowledge of Group Policy -- Windows 2008
Thorough knowledge of VMWare (ESXi 5.1 ESXi 5.5)
Thorough knowledge of scripting and scripting tools such as Desktop Authority
Thorough knowledge of Windows 2008 Print Servers, and printer installations
HP Printers
Dell and HP Server Hardware
ESET & AVG Enterprise Antivirus Software
Symantec Backup Exec Backup Software
Websense Web Filtering & AVG Web Filtering
Thorough knowledge of backup concepts and disaster recovery planning
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 - 2013
Microsoft Certificate Services
Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005, and 2008 installation, administration and backup concepts
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Terminal Services 2008 including Terminal Services Gateway.
Able to support and troubleshoot various enterprise applications at a high level
Thorough knowledge of Windows Update Services
Knowledge of Thin Clients and Thin Client deployment
Able to provide excellent documentation sets for work performed and has a mastery of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Visio
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Cisco networking preferred but not required
Linux/Mac OS knowledge a plus
Review and process associated invoices and administrative paperwork
Excellent customer service & communication skills
Work Conditions
On-call availability
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
Some travel requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
