Our client, a leader in filling and packaging technology has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. The Accounts Payable Specialist is engaged in calculating, processing, posting, verifying, and maintaining data and payments to accounts payable.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Oversees accounts payable operations.
Analyzes vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted. Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
Assists in monthly closings.
Expense report reconciliation and processing for payment.
Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies and suggests appropriate corrective procedures.
Communicates and coordinates accounting policies, practices, and procedures with employees, customers and others as needed
May be required to provide back up for the receptionist during lunch or breaks as needed.

Education & Experience
Associate's Degree from college or technical school
1 to 3 years related accounts payable experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to demonstrate proficiency with the client's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system within a reasonable period of time; mastery of MS Office applications including Excel.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
