We have an immediate contract opportunity for an Performance Diagnostics and Cap Analyst with one of our F500 clients in the King of Prussia, PA area.
Our F500 is leading provider of commerce technologies, omni channel operations and marketing solutions. You will be responsible for the following:
Primary Job
Responsibilities:
o Assists the Sr. Performance Engineers with implementation and use of monitoring tools.
o Ability to develop automated test scripts using automation software tools.
o Assists in collecting and analyzing monitoring data in test and production environments to assist and support with root cause analysis.
o Assists developers and operations tech support specialists to drive performance issue resolution.
o Supports and assists Performance Architect in modeling and forecasting activities.
o Supports and assists Performance Test Lead in resolution of performance defects.
o Supports and assists in Capacity Management activities.
o Assists Performance Architect to plan and execute PE activities across work streams.
Job Requirements:
o Assist leadership on complex technical delivery projects.
o Assist with evaluation and proposing of solutions for system performance issues.
o Assist in consulting on the use of performance engineering methods and practices.
o Use of standard automated load testing tools (HP, Rational, Soasta, JMeter).
o Assist with support and use of standard performance monitoring tools (dynatrace diagnostics and AJAX, webpagetest.org)
o Willingness to learn and continue educating self on performance diagnostics, tuning principles, performance data collection and analysis.
o Willingness to learn how to assess system changes and identify impact to system performance.
o Willingness to learn project management skills.
Basic
Qualifications:
o Ability to be flexible and adjust to priorities based on business impact.
o Ability and willingness to learn new technologies, new tools and software.
o Ability and willingness to learn fundamental performance diagnostics and tuning principles, including data collection and analysis.
o Ability and willingness to learn how to assess system changes and identify impact to system performance.
o Ability to assist in the installation, setup and use of standard performance monitoring tools for both client and server side performance.
