Summary
Cell Technician, AV Access will be responsible for handling technical aspects of the Vascular Cell Isolation Process, including human tissue processing and manipulation in a Biological Safety Cabinet, media preparation, tissue storage, packaging, labeling, and quality control in accordance with current Good Tissue Practices (cGTP), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Product Specifications. This position will also apply discretion and judgment, based on experience, in making collective decisions as they apply to cell isolation.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to standardized, hands on technical training in accordance with current and revised SOPs, established work instructions and product specifications.
2. Strong aseptic technique in a Biological Safety Cabinet
3. Aortic tissue dissection, media feeds, cell counting, cell passage, and media preparation
4. Assess cell confluence to gauge when cell passage should occur.
5. Accurately record processing data and information in accordance with cGMP and cGTP guidelines.
6. Accountable for conducting oneself in a manner that represents the company''s core values and addresses issues concerning deviations to procedures and policies with Operations Supervisors/Trainers.
7. Accurately document material transactions and physically transfer product to designated storage locations.
8. Clean, organize, and maintain processing work areas as required by SOPs and work instructions.
9. Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
10. Overtime and Holiday availability, as required.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 yr biological lab experience using aseptic technique
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
2-4 years college level study in a Medical, Science, or Technical discipline
Preferred
Experience:
1 year cell culture experience
4 years college level study in a Medical, Science, or Technical discipline.
