We are currently seeking a Technical Specialist-Basis to join our team at our World Headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
POSITION
Summary:
This role is responsible for the continued maintenance, support and performance of O-Is global core and information delivery applications infrastructure. The goal of these positions, as part of the team, is to deliver quality solutions by implementing and maintaining BASIS infrastructure by utilizing best practices, global processes and comprehensive documentation. The BASIS team has global responsibility for the 7x24 operations and availability of O-Is core business and information delivery applications which includes SAP ERP for 12,000 users. The position will be responsible to the maintenance, troubleshooting, and update of all major SAP systems in the Global Landscape, and will provide principal application and system support to the SAP Process team globally.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
(All other duties as assigned)
Administer O-I SAP systems
Provides level 2 and Level 3 support and administration for SAP BASIS. Will engage in complex troubleshooting tasks and support incidents.
Provides for performance tuning of SAP ECC/PI/BW/APO systems.
Responsible for coordination of systems monitoring and management
Collaborates and coordinates with HP
Delivers SAP technical solutions supporting SAP project teams
Collaborates with SAP project teams to support successful implementation of the project
Guides Junior SAP Basis team members under the direction of the SAP Basis Manager.
SCOPE AND IMPACT
Under the guidance of the Team Lead - BASIS, support the global IT organization by implementing and maintaining all O-Is global core and information delivery applications infrastructure for the following SAP systems and Modules:
SAP ECC 5.0 and 6.0
SAP BW 7.0
SAP XI 3.0/PI 7.0
SAP SCM 7.0/APO
SAP MDM
Revelation Rev Trac version 6.0
SAP GRC/NFE
SAP Security/VIRSA applications
Maintenance of Third Party applications running on Windows, Linux, and Unix Operating systems.
Position Requirements
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Bachelors degree (or international equivalent) in Information Technology or related discipline. Advanced degree or equivalent desirable but not required.
Minimum of Three years of SAP BASIS experience in a support role is required.
Experience with SAP Platforms such as Security, APO, BW or PI is desired.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Manager- SAP Basis and Unix Platforms.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Less than 10%
