Summary
The Investment & Retirement Planner position is responsible for conducting financial seminars for cooperative employees at various locations across the country and for providing confidential retirement and investment planning guidance (written and verbal) to both active and retired plan participants.
Purpose and Mission
Conducting standard and customized versions of NRECA-sponsored financial seminars to educate participants in NRECA's pension plans across the country.
Providing confidential, personalized financial guidance to NRECA plan participants both live (in conjunction with seminars) and by telephone.
Developing written retirement plans for participants approaching retirement.
Educating participants on general financial planning concepts, including NRECA's 401(k) and defined benefit plans and the corresponding distribution options.
Marketing and promoting retirement and investment planning seminars and services.
Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of NRECA's pension plans and the latest business and legal developments in the area financial planning, including but not limited to retirement/investment planning, education funding, investment and insurance products, estate planning, Social Security, Medicare, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications
6 - 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with specific knowledge of pension plans, retirement planning, education planning, and other financial planning concepts
Experience conducting presentations and working with individuals on financial planning issues
FINRA Series 65 or 66 license
Undergraduate degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting or economics
CFP certification preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
