Works under the supervision of the Director of Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement.Performs clinical assessment and support of Core Measures evidence-based standards documentation through concurrent audit, interaction with nursing and medical staffs, and abstraction of data utilizing appropriate applications.Major Duties:
Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital s strategic goals.Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives.Identifies Core Measures patients utilizing strong knowledge of disease processes, patient lab values, radiology reports, and physician documentation.Performs daily concurrent audits for complete clinical and Core Measures evidence-based practice with nursing and physician staff daily to discuss evidence-based management of target populations.Documents daily log of Core Measures patients and identified clinical and documentation information to Nursing Director and Charge literature, studies, standards, and practice guidelines to nursing and physician staff to support standards of care.Assists with discharge of Core Measures patients, assuring all clinical requirements have been considered and supported by documentation in the patient record.Maintains open communication with the medical staff regarding standards of care.Identifies educational needs of the nursing and medical staff and assists Quality Director and Education Staff with development and implementation of educational programs.Identifies and communicates trends to the CMO and the Director of QA/PI.Assists with the development of processes, protocols and tools for managing quality initiatives.Performs/assists with auditing functions for quality/risk management indicators as required by JCAHO, Medicare, or other governmental, licensing, or accrediting agencies as needed.Participates in performance/process improvement teams.Incorporates and follows SMH policy in addressing issues and costs through the judicious use of human and material and communicates effectively with team members, physicians, and other healthcare providers.Assists with inservices/presentations to hospital staff on performance improvement initiatives.Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the :
Preferred:Knowledge of auditing principles and continuous quality improvement concepts.Required:Working knowledge of Outlook/Word/Excel. Ability to work independently.Ability to interact professionally and effectively with physicians, management and staff.Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.3 yrs clinical experience; 1 yr of healthcare auditing experience.Licensure/Certification:Current certification by AANA,Current La. R.N. and Advanced Practice licenses, Current ACLS & BLSEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
