We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer with strong IBM storage and/or IBM flex experience with one or more of these other technologies - EMC, NetApp, and/or Vclould.
POSITION PURPOSE
The SIS Senior Systems Engineer (SSE) is responsible for the delivery of routine to complex installation, upgrade, migration, and troubleshooting services in customer environments in billable engagements whether at the customer location or the SIS Managed Solutions Center. In addition to billable engagements, the SSE will also be responsible for assisting in pre-sales activities and providing support for SIS IT infrastructure. The SSE is expected to work closely with other Professional Services Engineers, Project Managers and Client Representatives as needed.

2. Communication - Being a customer facing position, communication with the customer, account manager and to brand management in various aspects of each deployment is essential. Maintaining quality, frequent, and consistent communication with the account team, management and customer is a critical facet of the position.
3. Skills Development and Professional Commitment - Lifelong learning is essential in this industry and an absolute must for any implementation engineer. Therefore, the SSE is must recognize this and create and maintain their education and skills development. SIS recognizes this need and will work equally hard to enable that education and support the engineer efforts as much as possible. Product knowledge is a key part of that effort but not the only component. Presentation, communication, and training skills are all valuable assets to the SSE and should not be undervalued or overlooked.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Product Delivery Responsibilities - as a senior engineer the SSE will be responsibility for the content and scope of the delivery of technologies in which they are deemed expert level. This will include written procedures and implementation guidelines as well as the training of other engineers in those procedures.
1. Additional Responsibilities - The SSE is also expected to contribute to the overall health of the SIS organization. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Assist and lead in the education of the SIS client representatives regarding evolving networking technologies and SIS delivery capabilities.
2. Assist with internal projects as required.
3. Assist in deploying, configuring and troubleshooting equipment in the SIS Managed Solutions Center as required for internal or customer use.
SSE's are expected to be observant and intentional in recommending opportunities for SIS to expand their level of assistance to all customer environments.
SSE's are expected to sustain a high level of customer satisfaction at all times. Pleasing SIS customers and building those relationships is of the utmost importance and will be thoroughly analyzed with every performance review.
SSE's are relied upon for timely and efficient time entry for SIS to effectively bill customers and properly allocating resources. SSE's are expected to account at a minimum for 40 hours of time per week (internal and external) in the SIS Time Management System. All time entry must occur no later than midnight Saturday of each week unless communicated otherwise to the Director of Professional Services.
Travel is required for this position. Most travel is expected to be by vehicle in support of SIS regional offices and client base, however some air travel may be needed depending on specific client locations and training events.
After hours and weekend project work is routine and expected for the SSE position. Flexible scheduling and work from home policy will be provided as appropriate. The SSE shall be responsible for requesting specific scheduling abbreviations to compensate for after hours and weekend assignments.
Senior level engineers require a minimum of 3-5 years direct experience in networking infrastructure environments in some of the following technologies:
MS / Linux Operating Systems and Technologies
VMWare Virtual Infrastructure
Storage Technologies (TSM, SVC)
Intel Server hardware Technologies
Networking, LAN, IP, iSCSI, Fibre Channel
In addition, the SSE should have expert level skills in at least one of the following area and moderate skills in additional areas:
EMC Storage technologies
Commvault Simpana
IBM Storage technologies
NetApp Storage Technologies
Brocade Networking
Cisco Networking
Fibre Channel over Ethernet technologies
Storage Replication technologies
Veeam Backup and Recovery

Certifications are required by many of SIS's vendors and customers. Therefore, obtaining and maintaining vendor certifications is critical tasks for our engineers. As a result, SIS will support the engineer's efforts to obtain these industry certifications and will reward engineers for those successful efforts.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
