Miller-Motte Technical College in Gulfport, MS is looking for a Director of Education. The Director will be tasked with bringing strong leadership principles to the academics department and will help drive academic excellence.
The Director of Education is responsible for overall operation of the academic department at the school level and ensuring academic integrity within the guidelines of institutional, accreditation, state, and federal policy and regulation. The Director of Education supervises the Associate Director of Education, Registrar, Library/Resource Manager, Evening Supervisor, Program Directors, faculty members, and other academic support staff, and provides guidance to students. The Director of Education also provides leadership for faculty, staff, and students in meeting the academic mission of the school and serves as a member of the Campus Director's management team.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree required
3
years'' experience in educational/academics administration
3
years'' leadership experience leading a team of instructors and program directors
Previous teaching experience and ability to qualify as an Instructor
Proven ability to hire, train, and develop faculty through quality faculty development plans through mentorship programs, observations, coaching and other proven methods
Proven ability to execute the master student schedule model and trackers efficiently, sensitive to time and cost restraints
Proven ability to manage and execute student retention efforts and processes
Evidence of providing and maintaining working labs and classroom equipment through facility management efforts
Proven ability to manage programmatic outcomes (student pass rates, graduation rates, retention rates) for all accrediting bodies
Knowledge, skills and
Experience:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills
Knowledge regarding assessment and evaluation instruments and their interpretation
Experience in faculty development

2. Create/Maintain Master Schedules of Classes
3. Instructional Materials, Equipment, and Facilities
4. Academic Administration/Record Keeping
5. Publications/Reports
6. Management/Oversight/Professional Development/Training
7. Communication/Decision-Making
