Qualifications: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalency by training and experience considered.
Experience: Diverse business background including small business ownership, experience with management in a small business or experience in consulting small businesses. Be well versed in office/business technology applications, bookkeeping software, CMS sytems and other relevant technology for small businesses A solid knowledge of how to integrate technology into small business operations and marketing Strong financial analysis, computer and database management skills
Job Duties: Position: Provide high quality business counseling and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and existing business in Southwest Iowa. Topics related to business planning, legalities/taxes, business formations, financing, growth, personnel and organizational issues, marketing, social media, websites and other topics which may be appropriate to the situation REPORTS TO: Director, Iowa Western Small Business Development Center DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: Provide counseling and training to existing and prospective entrepreneurs in developing business plans, marketing, record keeping and accounting, financing, management and other areas of small business ownership. Promote the services of the SBDC through sales calls, activities with civic organizations and by providing information to interested parties. Help to arrange seminars or other special events. Act as a liaison between clients and governmental or financing institutions. Promote small business development in the designated area. Develop a confidential relationship between client and counselor. Document counseling sessions with on CMS system is a timely manner Follow up with clients routinely and document milestones and business accomplishments. Participate in the goal attainment required of the IOWA SBDC. Lead small business start up workshops and other possible seminars Work minimal evenings and weekends to reasonably accommodate client's hours.
Salary Range: TBD

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
