Position Description:
The Plant Engineer provides engineering support in all phases of maintenance, operations, design, and miscellaneous modifications at Rush Island Plant.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Perform engineering studies and provide recommendations for the purposes of improving plant safety, reliability, performance, and efficiency.
Perform, document, and communicate results of field inspections.
Monitor operation of assigned systems and provide preventive and corrective maintenance recommendations.
Adhere to applicable codes and standards to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations.
Actively support various programs such as Plant Reliability Optimization (PRO) and the Corrective Action Program (CAP).
Utilize Plant and outside resources as the System Owner for assigned equipment to implement continuous improvement.
Optimize reliability and cost through the use of predictive technologies, PI system (Plant Information Monitoring and Data Storage System) industry associations and Plant personnel resources.
Responsible for development of engineering solutions, estimates of cost and schedule, maintenance and repair specifications, in coordination and liaison with operating and maintenance groups at Rush Island Plant.
Follow and support Design Control and other QMS policies and procedures, as well as those required by CPOC.
Prepare job requisitions, work orders, various reports, and other documents, maintenance of records, and revision of drawings.
Interact with outside vendors and other organizations within the company.
This position is subject to overtime and off-hour call-outs as necessary in order to support plant operations.
Minimum Requirements:
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
Experience
Power plant or other relevant experience preferred.
Other
Good analytical, computer, human relations, and communication skills required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
