Position Summary
Responsible for analyzing and monitoring credit worthiness of assigned customers/accounts and recommending and/or approving credit lines within established guidelines. Includes analyzing financial statements and completing ratio, trend, and cash flow analysis of statements to determine if a customer is eligible for financing. Interface with internal and external customers, to obtain information needed, and to structure loans to minimize risk. Account monitoring for loan agreement compliance.
Major Areas of Accountability
1. Review and analyze various transactions, including: review and analysis of new applications, financial statements, balance sheets, business and consumer bureaus, security and legal documents, payment performance, etc. Prepare credit write-ups and Moody's spreads when appropriate in accordance with credit policy and procedure. Complete ratio, trend, and cash flow analysis to determine if a customer is eligible for financing. Perform Annual Reviews on individual transactions and routinely monitor loans for compliance with loan agreements.
2. Develop and maintain superior relationships with our manufacturer and dealer customers and interact effectively with a variety of departments.
3. Understand and follow credit policy and procedure and work with other departments, including Legal, Documentation, and Portfolio Control to improve understanding and compliance.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience
Required:
2-3 years of commercial lending experience.
Detail oriented with the ability to analyze cash flow, leverage, collateral, and customer strength.
Solid written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Ability to make sound business judgments while protecting the interests of TCF Inventory Finance.
Strong PC and technical skills, including experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with security documentation; UCC's, Security and Priority Agreements, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage Credit Administrator(s)
