Summary: The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing all medication storage, preparation, dispensing and distribution at Avera St. Mary's. The Director of Pharmacy plans, organizes, supervises activities in the hospital pharmacy according to hospital policies, standard pharmacy practices, and State and Federal laws and other regulatory requirements from The Joint Commission. Is responsible for effectively fulfilling the goals and objectives of the department while managing the department''s resources effectively and efficiently. Specific responsibilities include all aspects of planning, scheduling, and dealing with employee issues. The Director also must plan for staffing and fiscal budgeting for the department, as well as, being responsible for developing written job descriptions, hiring, training, and evaluating personnel performance. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Required: Graduate from an accreditedCollegeofPharmacy- BS degree in Pharmacy required at minimum. Minimum 2 years experience as a pharmacist required. Prior management and hospital experience preferred. License Requirements: Licensed by the South Dakota State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for SD state licensure. This position is open until filled. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
