Company is a leading international group of laboratories providing an unparalleled range of
testing and support services to the pharmaceutical, food, environmental and consumer
products industries and to governments. They are searching for an Operational Excellence
LEAN Project Manager to lead global initiatives. The Project Manager will support
implementation of the Operational Excellence methodology (based on LEAN/ 5S) and
support other internal consulting initiatives/ projects to industrialize and optimize lab
processes across all labs of the group
Other duties of the Lean Project Manager:
Depending on the success, priorities and timelines, proactive people are frequently being
offered increased areas of responsibility (e.g. to run an initiative) or transfer to a position in
the business.
The ideal candidate would possess:
Strong change management skills
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Extensive formal and on-the-job training of lean/operational excellence concepts and
at least three years implementation experience
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and
a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep
accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Strong interpersonal and management skills, with ability to manage multiple persons
and projects in fast-paced environment
Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
Advance level of proficiency in all Microsoft programs, especially Excel
Lean Certification by an accredited body preferred
Basic Minimum
Qualifications:
At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
At least five years related experience, three of which should be working on lean or
operational excellence projects
At least one year of leadership experience managing at least 5 team members in running
or implementing projects
Bottom line :
1. Bachelor's degree required. Master's preferred.
2. 5 - 20 years of experience including strong Lean Project Management or Manufacturing.
3. Experience managing multiple teams at different locations including change management.
4. Experience coaching and managing shop floor personnel in Lean Tools and Methods.
5. Experience in Life Science is a plus.
