Description
The Admitting Representative is responsible for seamless entry into the hospital in a timely, efficient and customer focused manner. The department is often the first contact the patient has with the hospital and is entrusted with the responsibility of providing a positive first image to the patient/family. Patient Registration functions include: collecting complete and accurate demographic, financial and clinical information to facilitate appropriate patient care and reimbursement; pre admission activities include; facilitating patient placement and transfers on the care units: pre certification activities include; preparing reports for distribution, responding to patients' questions or concerns, and informing the patients of their rights, responsibilities, and other required information.
This is one of two positions that will be working evenings Monday-Friday 3:30p-7p and Saturday-Sunday 7a-7p. Every other weekend will be scheduled off.
One week the schedule will be:
Sunday 7a-7p; Wednesday 330p-7p; Thursday 330p-p
The next week the schedule will be:
Monday 330p-7p; Tuesday 330p-7p; Friday 330p-7p; Saturday 7a-7p
Minimum Requirements
Preferred experience includes; medical office or insurance experience, and general computer skills Word, Outlook, Excel, EMREstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
