BalancePoint is looking for a talented Lead Systems/Application Engineer for our valued client in Westminster.
The Lead Systems/Application Engineer will be responsible for the successful service delivery, support, and productive direct customer interactions for one or more customer facing applications. The Lead Systems/Application Engineer will be the Subject Matter Expert for the application(s) within the hosting organization and will work with the hosting infrastructure staff, DBA's, Operations, Developers, and Release Engineers in the customer's organization. The Lead Systems/Application Engineer will design, build, and migrate high availability systems and applications, while managing availability, change, incidents, problem resolution, and risk management.
Responsibilities include:
Meeting SLA's related to application availability and response times to service requests, incidents, and problem resolution.
Responsible for the integrity of the database of application related assets, including software licenses and virtual and physical hosts assigned to customer applications.
Lead and coordinate day to day server application management, monitoring, incident response, and resolution and design effective application monitoring systems.
Lead Windows Server and Linux RHEL virtualization in a VMWare ESX 5.X environment and other cross-departmental projects.
Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, trending of application behavior, and recommend infrastructure or application improvements.
Review and approve all application and infrastructure change requests.
Lead and coordinate root cause analysis and problem resolution of operational issues involving interaction between applications, server hardware/firmware/OS and storage by working with software developers, QA, and infrastructure engineers.
Provide oversight and guidance for architecture and development best practices for application hosting and infrastructure deployment for each application.
Maintain compliance with ISO 27001 certified Information Security Management System, including performing, managing, or participating in security training, risk assessments, business continuity planning, and related activities.
Follow and implement best practices, policies, processes, and procedures for managing IT systems with regards to incident, availability, problem, change, configuration, and other IT Service Management disciplines; recognize process deficiencies and propose changes.
Requirements:
BS degree in an IT related field or equivalent training and 8-10 years of technical experience designing, building, and migrating systems and applications in a high availability, 24X7, mission critical, and enterprise environment
Strong interpersonal and customer relationship building skills
Experience managing software development life cycles for SAAS applications. Agile methodologies a plus.
Must be service oriented and experienced in creating and working in a highly process oriented environment
Experience designing and managing server operating systems and technology - Linux RHEL 6.X, Windows Server 2008+, IIS, Virtualization (VM Ware ESX 5.X), network attached and SAN storage
Experience with Amazon Web Services is highly desired
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
Ability to analyze information quickly, problem solve, and make quick decisions
Adaptive to leadership styles that promote collaboration, teamwork, and innovation
Comfortable working in a fast paced, ever changing, and matrixed environment
Flexibility to work off-hours to support global project teams and to manage system changes during planned maintenance windows
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
