Fast growing, technology-oriented company has an immediate need for a Senior Database Engineer on a direct hire basis. In this role, you will be the SME pertaining to Oracle at the company. You will work on a team of 7 with several other Engineers on the support side, providing complex support to customers related to Oracle database issues and SQL performance tuning. This requires performance tuning of high volume and transactional production Oracle database environments, along with delivery of overall system architecture and database health checks for customers. You should have expert-level working knowledge of relational database concepts, relational logical modeling, best practices and physical design of an Oracle database.

Responsibilities:
Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues
Assist in defining, monitoring and implementing database and system architecture standards for customers
Assist in managing hardware recommendations and configuration setting to customers of varying sizes and product selections
Primary responsibility will be related to Oracle databases, but must be able to understand the business and how it relates to the Oracle database
Perform and deliver system architecture and database health checks for customers
Drive forward internal effort to develop technology driven performance monitoring solutions that is
unique to our business and database architecture trou
Act as intermediary between the company and its customers by resolving issues and creating effective solutions for assigned customer accounts
Provide timely customer communication throughout the ticket lifecycle
Interact with development team and potentially make recommendations for product changes
related to performance
Use company support tools, including logging cases, time entry and solution development
Requirements:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related subject matter Field (hard requirement).

years Oracle DBA experience in similar position or having equivalent kind of skills experience
Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows
Understanding of system and network architecture, system platforms, system access, database
design, SQL queries, and network protocols
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and posses high level of technical skills
Preferences:
Master's Degree.

Running and delivering enterprise level software applications/solutions (ERP, EAM, CRM).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
