The main difference between a painter and a crew chief is that the crew chief has extended responsibilities that include supervising the production of the jobsite in relation to safety, pace, and quality of the work being performed, client relations, tracking equipment/paint inventory, etc. For this, crew chiefs earn a higher average piece rate, resulting in a higher hourly wage. The average piece rate is between $11-$15 per hour depending on the pay rate in your area and your level of experience. Wages average between minimum wage and $25.00 per hour (crew chiefs can increase their hourly earnings by producing work efficiently and properly).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
