Soliant Health has a new job opening in a Arkansas school district located in West Memphis for a Speech Language Pathologist. At this time, they are wanting to hire an SLP with their ASHA-CCCs as well as someone with previous schools experience. The SLP will be working with a caseload of 37-45 children within school district on a daily basis. The ages could vary, but could include either 2 elementary schools, or either 3 middle and 1 high school. Depending on where other therapists are placed, either of these options will be open to you. After working with the district over the past couple of weeks, we have come to realize that the support system from other therapists and faculty members is very strong, so learning the ropes will not be a problem for a new-comer. They are very willing to help and have an eagerness to motivate and facilitate change within their students and schools.
Other duties that will be required of the hired SLP will include the completion and submission of all documentation in an efficient and timely manner. Also, the therapist will need to be familiar with IEP meetings and be able to be a team player. The communication of information will also be very important for this position, as the therapist will be working closely, not only with students, but also with other therapists, faculty members, administration and family members.
Any other information regarding specific questions about the district, caseload, times, etc. can be found out at the time of an interview with the Director of Special Education. In order to get an interview, you must first submit an updated resume and contact Brittany Forrester directly at orBrittany.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
