The Sherman ESH team is searching for an Environmental Specialist to provide support to our Semiconductor Manufacturing organization and site operations. In this role, you'll provide technical guidance and will be responsible for the development and successful implementation of TI Sherman's environmental program.
Specific responsibilities include:
o Oversight of Sherman activities and ensuring formal procedures and training programs meet or exceed regulatory requirements and adequately support ISO14001/OHSAS18001 ESH MS certification
o Specific environmental programs to be managed may include: waste management, wastewater management, solid waste management, water pollution control, air pollution control, hazardous waste remediation, hazardous substances regulation, pollution prevention, recycling and spill prevention & response
o Work closely with building management and all environmental program owners
o Interpret TI and applicable regulatory requirements and maintain required documentation and records
o Inspect production activities and other work areas
o Support management in mitigating hazardous activities and in complying with all applicable TI policies, standards, state and federal policies and guidelines including EPA and relevant environment codes
The position involves developing a strong understanding of fab-related activities, including the equipment and chemistries, and collaborating with all stakeholders, including suppliers, to ensure that production or activities can proceed in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
The person in this position must have the ability to work with others at all levels in the organization and manage multiple projects at once. We're searching for a motivated, self-directed and flexible individual who has good judgment and problem solving skills.
Degree Requirements: Bachelors degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or related field.
