Summary:
Under the general direction of the Quality Manager, the calibration technician is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the calibration of tools and equipment used in production.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Conducts electrical and mechanical tool calibration as per preventative maintenance schedule or as requested, fulfilling and complying to required data and test parameters
Troubleshoots any tool malfunctions and/or equipment calibration issues
Properly sets up and operates calibration equipment
Maintains recurrent communications during collection of tools from production departments
Responsible for communicating and negotiating with vendors for tool outsourcing suitability
Organizes, maintains and oversees record retention data of production tools

Coordination and testing of finished products
Job Requirements
Eligible to work within the United States
Two year technical degree; and/or 2
years of experience within an ISO and AS9100 controlled and government regulated environment
Experience within the Aerospace Industry and FAA 14 CFR Chapter 21 preferred
ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Certified Quality Technician (ASQ:CQI or ASQ:CQT), or have a minimum of 5 years experience working in the quality industry preferred
Outstanding organizational skills and experience with managing multiple deadlines at once
Strong technical skills including the ability to read and understand technical drawings
Excellent comprehension of the English language complimented with exceptional grammar, composition, oral and written communication skills
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, and is able to learn new database system (SAP) & associated software efficiently
Proficient in communicating information to individuals and groups in both written and presentation form
Strong desire to work in a team made up of a cross functional group of individuals
Self?starter that is able to work extended hours as required to satisfy customer deadlines
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
