Under the general leadership of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, (Residency Director) a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Resident completes advanced post-graduate training in focused clinical and dispensing assignments to further develop clinical pharmacy skills, drug information knowledge and clinical research skills. A PGY-1 Resident is assigned multiple pharmacy-focused projects and drug information queries throughout the residency year. A PGY-1 Resident precepts a Pharmacy Clerkship student for a pharmacy operations rotation. A PGY-1 Resident is responsible for completing and presenting a clinical pharmacy research project by the end of their residency year. The PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Resident is responsible for the preparation and dispensing of pharmaceuticals in a safe and effective manner pursuant to medication orders issued by licensed prescribers; performs pharmacy clinical functions; provides education about drug therapy and pharmacy services for hospital staff, physicians, patients and student; monitors drug therapy and utilization; and maintains a pharmacy drug information service for patients, staff, and physicians. A PGY-1 Resident makes decisions about a patient''s drug therapy based on information provided by the physician, nurse and other care givers and based on other information available from numerous sources pertinent to the decision making process.

Licensure: Licensed to practice Pharmacy in the State of Indiana. Candidates eligible for licensure to practice Pharmacy in the State of Indiana will be considered. Licensure in Indiana must be obtained within 3 months from the date of hire. Duties will be restricted until licensed and a licensed Pharmacist must oversee the Pharmacist eligible for licensure.
Experience: New pharmacy graduates will be considered.
Education: Graduate of an accredited college of Pharmacy with a B.S. or PharmD. Degree or anticipated graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy by the month of June immediately prior to the residency year. Hospital Pharmacy

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
