Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Fort Meade, MD. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Cyber Solutions Division/Essex business unit - A market leader which innovates a culture of creativity, investment, and teamwork to solve the Intelligence Community's toughest problems.

Roles and
Responsibilities:
The candidate will directly support the Program performing system administration for the project. Primary duties include maintaining smooth operation of multi-user client-server computer systems (including coordination with other system administrators, network administrators, and application developers), providing 24x7 system support as a member of an on-call rotation team that troubleshoots and corrects network/hardware/application software problems, providing deployment installation and system backup and recovery, and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Also included are: creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for use operationally project-wide, interpreting and adjusting system policies, and evaluating vendor products and making recommendations for their incorporation into the system .

Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.

Qualifications
Basic
Qualifications:

A minimum of 6 years experience as a Unix or Windows System Administrator, to include, but not limited to:
6 years with a BS Degree, 4 years with a MS Degree, or 9 years in lieu of a degree
Extensive background with developing policy and standards for allocation
Experience with shell scripting
Experience with Linux
TS/SCI w/Poly clearance

Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience providing system administration support for servers, and storage and networking components
Experience with equipment staging
Experience developing and using Shell scripts
Experience in preparing technical documentation and or procedures
Excellent communication skills
Strong customer focus
Ability to work in a dynamic environment
